AED Days is the main annual event of the Portuguese Aeronautics, Space and Defence Cluster and Airbus has been a major partner of the event, sponsoring it since 2019, in order to strengthen the business link with the national ecosystem of these industries.
It was great to have such a renowned company contributing for a very successful 9th edition of the event, that took place in May in a hybrid format, particularly in a time where Airbus is now established in Portugal and expanding its activities.
Airbus had a very active presence, engaging in different days and activities of the event, of which we highlight the presentation of Charles Huguet, Managing Director of Airbus Portugal, on a Workshop session to present Airbus Global Business Services in Portugal: “Simplify, connect, digitalize and automate the future of Airbus“.

- the intervention of Cesar Sanchez Lopez, Vice-President for Southern Europe & Israel, on the High-Level Conference, as a Speaker in the Panel “Understanding the new international contexts and markets: the need to adapt business models and supply networks“.
- the intervention of Bruno Lamarque, Vice-President of Sales for Southern Europe, also on the High-Level Conference, as a Keynote Speaker in the session “Protecting the blue borders of Portugal: challenges and solutions“.
- the intervention of Bruno Lamarque in the Workshops, as a Speaker with the session “Portugal accessing the Space”.
- the intervention of Stéphane Rousseau, Senior Operational Manager, in the Workshops, as a Speaker in the session “Future trends of military helicopters – the GUEPARD“.
- the intervention of Stéphane Rousseau in the Workshops joining the Discussion Panel on the session “Aerial firefighting: finding new ways to stop wildfires“.
- the intervention of Tomas Fernandez Riaza, Senior Manager Sales Intelligence, in the Workshops joining the Discussion Panel in the session “Don’t forget to use it: the increasing use of Space applications and how it is changing the world“.
