The AIX organisation announces new dates for the event – 31 August to 2 September, 2021
The Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), the largest event in the interiors industry for the aerospace sector, would take place this year, between March 30 and April 2, but it had already been postponed in the face of the global pandemic context caused by the Coronavirus.
The organization of the event was yet to announce the new dates for the event, and it was expected that it would take place later this year. It so happens that today, in a statement to all participants, Reed Exhibitons (the company that organizes the event) announced that AIX2020 will take place in April next year, between the 12th and 15th.
In the official announcement, we can read the reasons of the reschedule for 2021:
“We were optimistic that our events would take place at the end of this year. However, in light of the uncertainty in the sector and the immense pressure that our customers are facing, we concluded that the best option is to postpone AIX, WTCE [World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo] and the PEC (Passenger Experience Conference) until 2021”
AED was preparing a joint Portuguese participation, with a national stand at the event, and, of course, this mission will be carried over to 2021.
