The Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) is one of the major events for the aerospace industry. It would take place this year, between the 20th and 24th of July, but it was canceled due to global pandemic context, caused by the COVID-19 virus.
The event’s organization, which until last week continued to assure all participants that the event was going to take place, ended up canceling the event. The reasons are related to the lack of human conditions to continue the preparation of this demanding fair (following the latest measures taken by the British Government) and the unknown opening timings of the counties border’s.
AED was preparing a joint Portuguese participation, with a national stand at the event, which is now also canceled.
The show will return in the summer of 2022, since it is a biannual event, intercalating with the Paris Air Show (happening between 21st and 27th of July, 2021).
