A remarkable afternoon, as the new Center for Tests and Technology Modernization of the Portuguese Army was inaugurated.
The CEMTEx (Centro de Experimentação e Modernização Tecnológica do Exército) is located in Paço de Arcos, Oeiras, and the Portuguese Army gathered the defence ecosystem, with the support from AED, for a very successful opening event!
Also in this event, we announced and signed a protocol between AED Cluster Portugal, the Municipality of Oeiras (Oeiras Valley) and the Portuguese Army. Aiming to strengthen the cooperation between Oeiras, the military and the business and academic fabric of the defence sectors, the main purpose of this MoU is to promote technical, scientific and human development.
With the presence of the Minister for Defence, Helena Carreiras, the Minister for Science, Technology and Higher Education, Elvira Fortunato, the Secretary of State for Defence, Marco Capitão Ferreira, and the CEME, General Nunes da Fonseca, many of the Cluster members with key projects and products within the defence sector also had the opportunity to show and present their capabilities.
