AED Cluster Portugal was present at the official ceremony to present the new KC-390 aircraft, held today, by the Portuguese Air Force and presided by the Portuguese Prime-Minister, António Costa. The event had the presence of many key stakeholders of the defence sector, such as the Minister for National Defence, Helena Carreiras, and the CEMFA, General João Cartaxo Alves.
Another remarkable milestone in the Aeronautics and Defence sector for Portugal, as this is the first of five airplanes of this kind, purchased by the Portuguese Government in 2019 to replace the Hercules C-130 airplanes.
The KC-390 are Embraer aircrafts brought to life also through the work and joint collaboration of the Portuguese industry (15 national companies were involved), which makes us very proud of this accomplishment.
