Project summary: The KnowNow4Aerospace (KN4AERO) project aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the aerospace sector (in particular the North, Center and Alentejo regions). It is financed by the Portuguese COMPETE2020 program (Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program) and the European Regional Development Fund. It was approved under the SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR COLLECTIVE ACTIONS – Internationalization, nº 25037 01/SIAC/2016 – financed through the Portuguese program COMPETE2020 (Operational Competitiveness and Internationalization program) – European Regional Development Fund.

Project Objectives:
• Implementation of two web portals (aerospace.pt and knownow.pt) that make it possible to publicize, promote and stimulate the aerospace sector;
• Promote the competitiveness of companies and research institutes through an international Roadshow present at key events, in cooperation with AICEP and FCT (Farnborough – United Kingdom, Bremen – Germany, Aeromart Montreal – Canada, Paris Air Show – France);
• Carrying out a study with a view to promoting convergence regions as regions of knowledge and innovation;
• Carrying out a SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that this sector faces in Portugal;
• Organization of dissemination and information activities on the results and experiences collected through this project.
All actions were supported by a solid marketing plan, focused on giving more visibility to Portuguese companies working in this sector.
