Project name: New Space Portugal
Project summary: The New Space Portugal will develop, by 2025, the satellites for future constellations (Atlantic Constellation, Open Constellation, AIS/VDES Constellation, and SAR Constellation) to address the global Earth Observation markets. Additionally, New Space Portugal will create a digital platform called Digital Planet, to merge data from multiple sources and provide value-added services.

Project objectives:Exploring the emerging potential of space with the goal of enhancing and creating new markets for society on a global scale.
In this regard, the project outlines three main objectives:
- Stimulate the exploration of space data and signals through space-based services and applications, fostering new markets and qualified employment.
- Promote the development, construction, and operation of space equipment, systems, and infrastructure, as well as space data production services, with an emphasis on small and micro-satellites.
- Develop national capacity and skills through specialized education, scientific research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and scientific culture, ensuring the long-term sustainability of space infrastructure, services, and applications.
