Portuguese Delegation Makes a Strong Impression at #ParisAirShow, Showcasing Aerospace and Defence Expertise
The Portuguese delegation has had an impressive start to the week at the renowned Paris Air Show, with 30 leading companies representing the nation’s prowess in the Aeronautics, Space, and Defence industries. Organized and promoted by AED Cluster Portugal and idD Portugal Defence, the delegation aims to highlight national products, services, and capabilities on the global stage.
The joint participation featured a networking reception at Portugal’s booth, generously supported by aicep Portugal Global. The event saw the presence of esteemed guests, including the Portuguese Secretary of State for Defence, Marco Capitão Ferreira, and the Portuguese Ambassador to France, José Augusto Duarte.
The delegation’s booth became a hub for numerous international entities, fostering productive business and institutional interactions. Among the notable visits were representatives from Clean Aviation, as well as the Secretary of State for Industry and the Head of Angola’s National Political Directorate from Angola.
Several prominent companies and consortiums took center stage at the national booth, demonstrating cutting-edge innovations. Notably, the FLYPT Consortium unveiled its prototype internationally, while companies like Kristaltek – Laser e Mecânica de Precisão, INEGI driving science & innovation, AEROMEC, CCG – Centro de Computação Gráfica, ISQ, Active Space Technologies, PIEP – Innovation in Polymer Engineering, and Município Ponte de Sor showcased their contributions to the industry.
