The seven Aerospace & Automotive “Mobilizing Agendas”, approved by the Portuguese Government for the PRR financing, were presented yesterday in an event promoted by IAPMEI, ANI (National Innovation Agency) and the Portuguese Government.
These are business innovation agendas with a total investment of 813€ million for mid-term and long-term projects that will provide a new growth context for the Portuguese aerospace ecosystem.
AED Cluster Portugal is directly involved in two of these Agendas:
1. Aero.Next Portugal
Presented by Luis Miguel Braga (Vice-President of AED), it aims to develop, industrialize and operate complete aeronautical programs, from Portugal;
2. New Space Portugal
With the purpose to create new innovative products and services, with greater technological complexity and added value, mainly on the SmallSat and Earth Observation sectors.

The schedule presented by the Minister of Economy points to the third quarter as the timing to the contracting and beginning of the execution of the investment projects presented. It is important to note that these approvals correspond to a first stage, which will be followed by other stages of the tender which will subject the consortia to different levels of eligibility and payment modalities. It is expected that by the end of this year, the calendar and criteria for these stages will be published by the Government.
