The AED Cluster Portugal, in cooperation with the European Commission (DG DEFIS), will co-organise the ENDR European Cyber Defence & Cybersecurity Conference 2025, taking place on 1–2 October 2025 at the Centro Cultural de Belém in Lisbon. The event is also supported by the Portuguese Armed Forces General Staff and the National Cybersecurity Centre.
This two-day conference, under the theme Advancing European Cyber Defence and Cybersecurity: Technologies, Operations and Opportunities, will bring together EU institutions, industry leaders, research centres and cybersecurity experts to address the latest trends, operational challenges and opportunities in the cyber domain.
Programme Highlights
The ENDR Conference will focus on the central role of cyber capabilities in strengthening Europe’s resilience and security across both civilian and defence sectors. Key topics will include:
- Emerging trends such as quantum-secure communications (QKD), red teaming, AI-enabled autonomous response and blockchain applications
- Cyber Defence with multi-domain operational coordination and cyber-electromagnetic activities
- Cybersecurity focusing on the protection of critical infrastructures, including aviation and air traffic management, cyber vigilance and incident response
- Funding and innovation opportunities within European programmes such as the European Defence Fund, Digital Europe Programme and Horizon Europe
- Networking sessions with face-to-face matchmaking between institutional, industrial and innovation stakeholders, complemented by a technology exhibition
On 1 October, the programme will open with a welcoming session and networking activities, while the main conference day on 2 October will feature high-level speakers, including representatives from the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO) and the European Defence Agency (EDA), as well as national and European policymakers.
