From October 16 to 18, 2024, AED Cluster Portugal visited DAMEN in Gorinchem, as part of an External Mission carried out under the Global Connect Project, co-financed by Compete 2030 and FEDER.
Highlights of this initiative included introductory sessions on DAMEN and its supply chain, presentations on industrial cooperation and the AED Portugal cluster, as well as a visit to the DAMEN shipyard.
This mission aimed to strengthen industrial cooperation between Portuguese companies and DAMEN specifically, while also fostering a broader connection between the two countries. It promoted the exchange of technologies and the identification of business opportunities within our sectors.
The relevance of this action lies in the up-to-date exchange of information on trends and sectoral needs, the networking opportunities and institutional contacts established, and the reinforcement of closer ties between Portugal and the Netherlands.
