AED Cluster Portugal and Dassault Aviation, on behalf of the RAFALE partners Thales and Safran, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore potential areas of cooperation between the RAFALE partners and Portuguese industry.
The agreement was signed on 23 September at the French Embassy in Portugal, in the presence of the Ambassador of the French Republic to Portugal, Jean-Pierre Asvazadourian, and comes against the backdrop of the renewal of the Portuguese Air Force’s F-16 fleet, following the official submission of a proposal by Dassault to the Portuguese Government and the Portuguese Air Force in July 2026.
The Memorandum of Understanding aims to deepen cooperation between the RAFALE partners and the Portuguese industrial ecosystem, exploring potential opportunities for collaboration with national companies.
Through this agreement, the AED Cluster Portugal reinforces its role as a link between Portuguese industry and the main international players in the aeronautics and defence sectors, helping to promote new opportunities for cooperation and to strengthen the country’s presence in international value chains.
