AED Cluster Portugal participated in the Paris Air Show 2025, held from June 16 to 22, with a Portuguese national pavilion organized under the Global Connect project, funded by Compete 2030 and FEDER.
This presence brought together several organizations and representatives of the Portuguese aerospace ecosystem, reinforcing the sector’s relevance and dynamism in Portugal.
Adjacent to the AED Cluster Portugal stand, several entities showcased their innovative solutions and internationally recognized expertise, including the Aeronext Program, Beyond Vision, CCG, OGMA, Ricardo & Barbosa, AEPS, Kristaltek, and ISQ.
During the event, the stand was officially visited by the Minister of National Defense, Nuno Melo; the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, General João Cartaxo Alves; the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Hugo Espírito Santo; and the Deputy Secretary of State and for National Defense, Álvaro Castelo Branco. Their presence emphasized the institutional support for the cluster and the participating Portuguese companies.
MoU Signing with GIFAS Strengthens Franco-Portuguese Cooperation
A highlight of the Paris Air Show was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AED Cluster Portugal and GIFAS – Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales.
This agreement builds upon the long-standing relationship between the two associations and reflects a strong commitment to deepen bilateral business dialogue, foster joint initiatives, and strengthen industrial cooperation.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from French associations GIFAS, GICAT, and GICAN, along with the Portuguese Ambassador to France, Francisco Ribeiro de Menezes—underscoring the strategic importance of this partnership in industrial, technological, and economic domains.
Portuguese Network Cocktail Boosts Partnerships on Portugal Day
Portugal Day at the Paris Air Show was celebrated with the Portuguese Network Cocktail, an initiative led by AED Cluster Portugal in partnership with idD and AICEP.
