AED Cluster Portugal participated in the Dubai Airshow 2025, held from 17 to 21 November, through an institutional stand integrated into the official Portuguese pavilion. This participation took place under the Global Connect project, supported by Compete 2030 and FEDER, enabling the cluster to strengthen the international visibility of Portuguese SMEs.
The initiative brought together a broad range of organizations and representatives from the Portuguese aerospace ecosystem, showcasing the sector’s growing technological capabilities and competitiveness.
Adjacent to the AED Cluster Portugal stand, the Municipality of Ponte de Sor, Speedbird Aero Europe, Beyond Vision, and Aerohelice were also present, exhibiting high-value products, technologies, and globally recognized expertise.
Throughout the event, the stand welcomed institutional delegations from South Korea, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, India, and Saudi Arabia, fostering new strategic connections and enhancing opportunities for business and technological cooperation. These interactions further reinforced Portugal’s position as a credible and innovative partner in the aerospace sector, paving the way for future collaborative initiatives and internationalization projects.
Portugal Networking Cocktail
AED Cluster Portugal hosted the Portugal Networking Cocktail at its stand on the second day of the event, 18 November. This key networking moment brought together the Portuguese companies attending the Dubai Airshow, representing the national aerospace ecosystem, and was also honored by the presence of His Excellency Fernando Figueirinhas, Ambassador of Portugal to the United Arab Emirates, and Engineer Manuel Couto Miranda, AICEP Delegate.
The gathering provided a valuable platform to strengthen relationships, foster new synergies, and deepen institutional and commercial partnerships, contributing to the international positioning of the Portuguese aerospace sector.
