AED Cluster Portugal participated in another edition of the Portugal Air Summit, which concludes tomorrow, 12 October, and is taking place at the Municipal Aerodrome of Ponte de Sor. This is the 7th edition of the largest Aviation, Aeronautics, Space, and Defence event in the Iberian Peninsula!
Under the theme “Flying For Change,” this edition has been marked by strategic discussions and the exchange of ideas that will shape the future of the sectors. Fundamental changes within the sectors were discussed, and efforts were made to redefine the role of Portugal, its industry, and services within a global context.
The summit provided various networking opportunities, updates on the latest projects, and technological and operational innovations, while also emphasising the importance of sustainability and the strategic and sustainable development of the aeronautical and aerospace industry.
AED Cluster Portugal not only attended but also took on a leadership role, promoting debates on crucial opportunities for the development of the national industry!
On the first day, we led the panel “New Lisbon Airport: Opportunities for AED Sector Consolidation,” featuring contributions from José Neves, President of AED, José Rui Marcelino, CEO of Almadesign and Vice President of AED, and Sergio Alegre Calero, Director General of the Airport Regions Council.
On the second day, we held the AED Working Group Skills workshop on the theme “New Airport: Societal and Human Resources Challenges,” bringing together top specialists such as Carlos Maio, Executive Manager at QSR – Talent Driven Culture, Rita Reis, Human Resources Director at Portway, Ana Dionísio, Senior Director of Labour Relations at TAP, Cristina Danut, Marketing Manager at Cenfortec, and Ana Vilhena, Human Resources Director at Menzies.
These moments of reflection and knowledge-sharing are essential for us to continue strengthening Portugal’s role on the global stage.
