Portugal Air Summit 2022 is underway! In Ponte de Sor, there will be four days full of activities, with Conferences, Workshops, Aircraft Exhibition and Airshow, Company Exhibition and a Business Fair.
The first day was marked by the Opening Session of João Neves, Secretary of State for the Economy, and Hugo Hilário, Mayor of Ponte de Sor, and also by the signing of the Protocol that officializes the first aircraft ever fully developed and integrated in Portugal.
Luis Miguel Braga, President of EEA – Empresa de Engenharia Aeronáutica, S.A (the company leading this initiative) and also Member of the Board of AED Cluster Portugal, upon signing the protocol, thanked both the Portuguese Government and the Municipality of Ponte de Sor for the fundamental role they played in allowing a moment of rupture in the Portuguese aeronautical industry.
With R&D offices in Évora and a FAL built in Ponte de Sor, the Alentejo region proves once again to be of the utmost importance within the Portuguese Aeronautical sector.
